Terms of service

You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract, and permitted to use and purchase Centgrid where you live. You are responsible for your account, all activity through it, and the handle, colors, drawings, and other material you publish.

Centgrid is an entertainment service built around one persistent public pixel canvas. The public game rules are part of these Terms. Quotes can become stale, control can be taken by another account under the doubling rule, and no purchase guarantees continued pixel control, traffic, clicks, advertising results, or permanent service availability.

Credits and pixel control are limited, closed-loop service features. They are not money, stored value, securities, NFTs, property, investments, deposits, or claims on revenue. Credits cannot be transferred, redeemed, withdrawn, resold, or exchanged for cash. Eigentic may reject or review an order, pause checkout, correct an obvious pricing or technical error before fulfillment, and change future pack availability or pricing without changing credits already delivered.

Centgrid is an evolving game, not a promise that any particular feature or rule will remain unchanged. For product development, user demand, security, abuse prevention, technical performance, operating cost, legal or tax requirements, or payment-provider rules, Eigentic may prospectively add, remove, redesign, or limit features; change the board's size or presentation, palette, claim, takeover, recolor, restore, history, or moderation rules; change account, access, or eligibility requirements; and change prices, credit packs, limits, or payment providers for future purchases. New rules apply to future actions, not by rewriting completed orders or erasing the recorded credit ledger or past pixel events. Already-delivered credits retain their stated one-cent in-service buying power while Centgrid operates, subject to spending, an authorized refund or dispute reversal, account remedies, service closure, and mandatory law. A materially adverse change may give you rights under applicable law as described below.

Centgrid is offered only to adults in places where the service and payment are lawful and supported. Availability is not promised in every country. Eigentic, Stripe, Sold through Link, LLC, payment networks, or another lawful payment provider may decline, cancel, refund, review, or restrict a transaction or payment method to comply with sanctions, fraud controls, tax obligations, provider rules, or local law. Eigentic may promptly pause checkout, restrict paid countries or methods, or change payment providers when reasonably required; those changes do not reduce credits already delivered, except through a valid refund, dispute, account remedy, service closure, or mandatory law.

Purchases, delivery, and final-sale policy

Prices are shown in USD. Stripe hosts checkout and processes payment details; Centgrid does not receive card numbers. For a transaction identified at checkout or on the receipt as “Sold through Link,” Sold through Link, LLC (“SMP”), a Stripe affiliate, is the merchant of record for the payment while Eigentic remains the seller and Centgrid service operator. For any direct Stripe transaction, Eigentic is the merchant of record and Stripe is its payment processor. The applicable checkout, receipt, and card-statement description identify the payment relationship for that order. Purchased credits are delivered to the signed-in account after payment confirmation. Delivery is ordinarily immediate, but payment-method processing or fraud review can delay it.

All purchases are ordinarily final and non-refundable once payment is confirmed and credits are delivered, except where non-waivable law requires a refund, Eigentic expressly approves a full-order remedy for a duplicate or unauthorized charge or a material failure to deliver the purchased credits, or the payment merchant of record exercises its controlling refund rights. For Sold through Link transactions, SMP's refund policy controls where it is more permissive and allows SMP to decide eligible requests made within 60 days, including undelivered, materially misdescribed, unfit, corrupted, duplicate, or unauthorized digital goods and any mandatory local cooling-off right. We do not voluntarily provide refunds for buyer's remorse, changed plans, unused credits, loss of pixel control, a takeover, price changes, moderation, a rules violation, service closure, or dissatisfaction with traffic or results. Centgrid supports only full-order reversals.

Before Checkout, you must separately and affirmatively request immediate delivery of the digital credits and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any cancellation or withdrawal right ends once delivery begins. That box is not preselected. Checkout separately requires acceptance of these Terms. After payment, Centgrid emails the order, total and tax, credits delivered, policy version, immediate-delivery acknowledgment, trader details, complaint route, and mandatory-rights notice in a form you can retain. There is no subscription to cancel. Contact support promptly if a charge is duplicated, unauthorized, or not delivered.

If a refund is required or approved by Eigentic or the payment merchant of record, all credits from that order are reversed. Available credits are removed first; credits already spent may create a credit debt and suspend the account. A payment dispute may suspend the account while it is investigated. Refunds and disputes do not undo pixels, prices, control history, or intervening public activity. Product, delivery, and account questions may be sent to Centgrid support; Sold through Link customers may also use Link's transaction-support and refund channels. Eigentic will cooperate with provider requests and may provide transaction evidence needed to resolve a complaint.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain any rights you have in material you publish. You give Eigentic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, adapt for technical presentation, moderate, preserve, and distribute it as part of Centgrid, its history, service promotion, and continuity exports. This license continues for public provenance and backups after account closure, with identifying account fields removed as described below.

Do not publish illegal, sexually exploitative, hateful, threatening, harassing, privacy-invasive, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or spam material. Do not include external URLs, QR codes, coupon codes, contact details, or calls to action directing viewers outside Centgrid in handles, drawing names, or pixel artwork. Do not use stolen payments, evade limits, manipulate metrics, coordinate abusive takeovers, interfere with the service, scrape personal data, or automate writes outside a published interface. Eigentic may mask pixels, reject or remove content, restrict or close accounts, preserve evidence, and respond to valid legal requests.

Send copyright or other rights complaints to support with your identity, the protected work, the exact coordinates or link, your good-faith basis, and a statement that the report is accurate. Eigentic may request verification, notify the affected account, process a counter-notice where appropriate, and restrict repeat infringers. Eigentic terminates repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and does not interfere with broadly accepted copyright-protection measures. Abuse and illegal-content reports and moderation appeals also go to support. We acknowledge reports that include an electronic reply address, review them diligently and without arbitrary discrimination, communicate the outcome, and explain restrictions to an affected account when law and safety permit.

Privacy policy

Eigentic processes verified email and Cognito identifiers; public handles; hashed server sessions; orders, Stripe references, purchase consent, credits, refunds, and disputes; pixel, drawing, and public provenance; abuse reports and support messages; and security, device, network, and operational logs. Previously submitted profile links may remain in restricted account records or backups during the transition but are not displayed or used for redirects. Contract performance supports account, purchase, credit, pixel, and support processing. Legitimate interests support narrowly measured service improvement, security, fraud prevention, moderation, and legal-claim defense. Legal obligations support accounting, sanctions, tax, regulatory, and valid-process records. Consent is used where law requires it and may be withdrawn prospectively without affecting earlier lawful processing.

First-party audience measurement counts qualified visits after five visible seconds and records coarse interaction totals, observed maximum zoom, and referring host. It derives a pseudonymous browser estimate from a truncated network prefix and browser user-agent using a keyed hash. It does not set an audience cookie, fingerprint a device, retain raw IP addresses or full user-agent strings in audience records, or claim to count unique people or verified advertising impressions. Reports occur at qualification, roughly every five visible minutes, and on departure subject to a report budget; missing reports can undercount visible time. Centgrid does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

AWS hosts the service and authentication. Stripe and its affiliates, including Sold through Link for Managed Payments transactions, process payments, tax, fraud, disputes, transaction support, refunds, and related customer requests. Essential professional or legal providers may receive the minimum information needed for their work. Information can be processed in the United States, Germany, Israel, and other places where these providers operate, with contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the service.

Active account fields are kept until closure is completed. Payment and accounting records are ordinarily kept for seven years after the relevant financial year. Abuse and support records are ordinarily kept for 24 months after resolution. Application logs are ordinarily kept for 30 days and automated database backups for 35 days. First-party audience visit identifiers and referring hosts are ordinarily removed within 35 days of a visit’s start. Hourly and daily aggregate counts, estimated browsers, engagement counts, and visible-time totals contain no visit identifiers, browser hashes, or referring hosts and may be kept for the operating life of Centgrid. Browser estimates cannot be added across time buckets to obtain unique people. Public live connection counts aggregate open board connections per server without visitor identifiers; they include background tabs, duplicate tabs, and bots and are not qualified audience estimates. Legal holds, fraud defense, and mandatory law may require longer retention. Public pixel provenance is kept for the operating life of Centgrid and is de-identified after closure.

You may request access, correction, or account closure through the account panel or support. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction, portability, objection, appeal, or complaint to a regulator. Centgrid honors Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track for first-party audience measurement. You can also turn off audience measurement in this browser. We verify requests and may retain information that law, security, accounting, or the rights of others require us to keep. If regional representative contact details become applicable to Centgrid, Eigentic will publish them here.

Suspension, closure, and continuity

You may request account closure from your profile. The request signs you out and blocks new purchases while support resolves open payments, disputes, reports, and required retention. Eigentic may suspend or close an account for risk, abuse, nonpayment, legal requirements, or a breach of these Terms.

“Eternal” and “persistent” describe the no-scheduled-reset design; they are not promises that Eigentic, the service, or a hostname will exist forever. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Eigentic may modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue any part of Centgrid or the entire service at any time, with or without advance notice, including for security, legal, operational, or economic reasons. When practical, we may stop new purchases first, give notice, or provide a read-only board image and de-identified provenance export, but none of those steps is guaranteed. Service closure by itself does not entitle you to a voluntary refund or cash redemption of spent or unused credits. This does not limit non-waivable consumer remedies, the payment merchant of record's controlling refund rights, or the express full-order remedies described above.

Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity

Centgrid is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eigentic disclaims implied warranties, does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and is not responsible for payment networks, internet failures, user content, lost pixel control, or expected publicity or business results. Centgrid provides no service-level agreement, guaranteed uptime, response time, restoration time, support resolution time, or other availability commitment unless Eigentic signs a separate written agreement expressly providing one; operational targets and public capacity figures are not customer SLAs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eigentic and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Their total liability arising from Centgrid will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid to Centgrid during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

You will defend and indemnify Eigentic and its personnel against third-party claims arising from your published material, unlawful conduct, misuse of Centgrid, or breach of these Terms, except to the extent the claim results from Eigentic's own unlawful conduct.

General terms

Delaware law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections that cannot be waived in the consumer's country of habitual residence. Except where non-waivable law gives you another forum, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction. If one provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue. Eigentic may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service; you may not assign them without written consent.

Eigentic may update these Terms, the game rules, and linked policies prospectively for the product, security, abuse, technical, cost, legal, tax, and provider reasons described above. We will post the new version and effective date. For a material change, we will give additional advance notice by site, account message, or email when reasonably practical and any notice or durable-medium information required by law; urgent safety, security, legal, or provider changes may take effect immediately with notice afterward when appropriate. New purchases require acceptance of the then-current Terms. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law; if you do not agree, stop using Centgrid and request account closure. A change does not retroactively alter a completed purchase or authorize new uses of previously collected personal information without any notice or consent required by law. If a materially adverse service change gives you a mandatory right to terminate, obtain a remedy, or recover a legally required amount, that right remains intact. These Terms, the game rules, and policies they link are the entire agreement between you and Eigentic about Centgrid; separate terms presented by the payment merchant of record remain applicable to its transaction.
