PUBLIC GAME RULES
One board. Exact prices. No reset.
The board
Centgrid is one persistent 1,024 × 1,024 public canvas. It has no scheduled reset. An untouched pixel costs one credit (1¢). Buying a pixel already controlled by somebody else costs exactly twice its last paid price. The next takeover price doubles again. A current controller can recolor that pixel for free.
Control, not ownership
The controller is the account whose most recent paid claim controls a pixel. Control can be taken by another account at the displayed next price. A pixel is a game position and public attribution—not real property, an NFT, equity, an investment, or a right to revenue. There is no payout, transfer, withdrawal, or resale market.
Credits and claims
One credit is one US cent of in-game buying power. Each account may make one $1 starter purchase for 100 credits as its first completed purchase. Later top-ups start at $5. Fixed packs go up to $100, and a custom checkout from $5.01 to $10,000 issues the same one credit per cent. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Quotes are advisory. A claim is accepted only if every quoted price is still current and the account has enough credits; otherwise no pixel changes and no credits are spent.
Drawings and restore
Editable pixel art can contain up to 4,096 pixels. Imported images may scale to the full 1024×1024 board. Every Studio claim is all-or-nothing. Restoring a saved claimed drawing buys altered pixels at their current prices; pixels still controlled by the account cost zero. Restore never deletes intervening history and never guarantees permanent control.
History and moderation
Claims, takeovers, and recolors create public provenance. External URLs, QR codes, coupon codes, contact details, and calls to action directing viewers outside Centgrid are not permitted in user content. Moderators may mask content and restrict accounts under the Acceptable Use Policy while retaining evidence and the underlying provenance record. A persistent board is the product goal, but uninterrupted or perpetual service cannot be guaranteed; closure handling is described in the Terms.
